Arbor Day

celebrate-arbor-day-logoThe annual Arbor Day celebration has been a  tradition since the early 1980’s.

Each year, the Gardeners Connect board votes to honor an individual with the planting of a commemorative tree in their name with in the Stanley R. McLane Arboretum at Loose Park. This is done in cooperation with Kansas City Parks, and the city’s annual Arbor Day celebration.

These people are selected based upon their commitment to trees and their tireless work in the promotion, preservation and education of the community about the greatness and well being that trees provide us all.
