Join Gardeners Connect as we venture back to the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show, the world’s longest running and largest indoor flower show, on March 2-6. This year’s theme is “Wonders of Water” celebrating the life force of gardens.
There is always a main-entry garden that exemplifies the theme and welcomes you into the more than 10 acres of display gardens, plants and garden related vendors.
There will be lots of opportunities to hear various speaker presentations at the show and the schedule of speakers should be available in mid-February.
We will once again be staying at the luxurious Loews Philadelphia Hotel just across the street from the convention center. You can take advantage of the heated lap pool or schedule a massage to relax you from a full day of the show.
Your trip will include nonstop airfare from Kansas City to Philadelphia and back, train tickets from the airport to the convention center, four, nights stay at the Loews Philadelphia hotel, three days access to the Philadelphia Flower Show including the exclusive Pennsylvania Horticultural Society members-only preview from 8-11 a.m. on Saturday, March 3.
This is a make-your-own-schedule Garden Getaway. Since everything is within walking distance of the hotel, you can come and go as you please at your own pace. No need to feel hurried or get up early. You also will have a nearly full day before and after the show to explore Philadelphia and all of the other attractions in the city.
We will be leaving at 6:38 a.m. on Friday, March 2, on American Airlines flight 1875 arriving in Philadelphia at 10:20 a.m. We should be checked into the hotel by noon and you will have the rest of the day to explore the city. There are museums, historical locations, shopping and lots of amazing restaurants to explore.
The cost for this trip is $1,650 per person for a single occupancy room and $1,150 each for a dual occupancy room. All attendees must be members of Gardeners Connect.
Saturday through Monday you will have passes to the show, where you can enjoy all of the exhibits, vendors and plants, as well as a range of speakers that are scheduled during the show. You also will have access to the PHS members preview from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday morning and the PHS members lounge where you can rest a bit and have a cup of tea or coffee during the show.
We will be returning into Kansas City at 7:39 p.m. on American Airlines flight 1981.

This trip is non-refundable and trip insurance is recommended if there is a chance you will need to cancel.
